The Lyon Park Community Center was bursting at the seams with kids and parents at the children’s holiday party. We had activities at every table—creativity and smiles were everywhere. Gallons of hot chocolate flowed, mini marshmallows were dunked, and hundreds of candy canes were consumed. Cookies and more cookies were eaten by the handfuls. Our cheerful volunteers were decked out in their red and green aprons, elf hats and vests and Santa made another special visit to Lyon Park. Children formed lines to visit Santa and his elves at his indoor sleigh and created lifelong memories. The look in a child’s eye when they first see Santa is precious.

Many thanks to the parents and kids who came out and enjoyed the party. Our community volunteers were extremely helpful, and the party wouldn’t have happened without them. Santa was a bundle of smiles and laughs, as always.

Darcy Rosenbaum created magical moments and an enchanting scene in the center—nobody decorates or plans a party like Darcy!
